i think thats what fried my battery on my truck but not sure it only seems to get the most power is when im getting jumpstarted but when i disconnect the jumper cables it doesnt do nothing

I’ll make the assumption that these are called something else in other countries, so I mean the cables used when trying to start a dead car battery by connecting it to another car’s battery and giving it a charge, or a “jump”. B.Q.> What do they call jumper cables in other countries? Thanks.

why is it in the manual, the negative terminal from a battery booster must be attached to the ground of a vehicle and why not in a negative terminal of a dead battery? can we consider the whole metallic body part of a vehicle is also a ground/negative? pls advice. thanks
