What do you think could be going out. Starter, Starter Solenoid, or bad battery?

I have a 2006 chevy tahoe, and I was told by the dealer that i need to look into getting a new battery (which not I plan on getting this friday). When I try to crank the tahoe, it clicks, and nothing else, however when i connect the jumper cables to another vehicle it cranks normally. Also, how do you know if your a/c is over charged?
Just got back from autozone, and it is a bad battery. Thanks for all the fast responses

New alternator, new battery, new terminals, good working starter… car still acting up…?

I had my alternator replaced & got a new battery w/ new terminals, had my starter tested and my car still is showing 13ish on a battery/alternator tester and drops to 12ish then jumps around between 12-13 when anything is on. It then started jumping and cutting out after I stopped, backed up, and turned today so I went to have a diagnostic ran and I then replaced the ingnition coil. It ran fine with no change in the voltage for a few hours then started to jump and cut out again. Anyone have a clue what could be going on? It’s a 01 Kia Spectra.
Forgot to add this but I have new belts also .

no dome lights,key switch not working,good battery but when jumper cables are hooked up the starter turns.?

Just put brand new solenoid, battery,starter, and fuel filter on it. It is a 1988 ford f-150 XLT Lariat, 302 Why do i not have any power going to the lights and when jumper cables are hooked up why does the starter want to turn on its own. I am very confused.

Would that be a good portable car battery jumper starter?

I have a Honda Odyssey that I’m not using much and when I need it, the battery is down and I cannot start it.
(After how many days/weeks of not being used, is it normal for a car with a good battery, to not start?)
I’d like to get a portable system to recharge the battery in case my family/neighbors are not home to help me (I have jumper cables).
(My battery is good, just a few years old and good quality AAA).
I know bupkus about all this but I want to purchase something at Amazon.com that would be easy to use for a woman who knows bupkus.

I have questions that might sound stupid, like…how to you recharge the recharger?
I want something easy to use and simple, good quality (you usually pay for what you buy).
I did some research and found that one that sounds good with good reviews but I want to make sure I’m buying the right thing before I do.
