Its the thing that goes over the top of those pieces that you connect the jumper cables to, and the one I currently have is red but its too big and I need to find a smaller one, but I dont know what its called.

When a cars battery runs out of energy and you use another car to give it energy with jumper cables. Does the good car feed the bad car with energy from its battery? The longer I leave it plugged and running does it charge more or is it a waste of time?

I am interested in learning about the many parts that make up a lithium ion battery, who the major suppliers are, and the (current and upcoming) tech associated with these batteries. I can’t even find a diagram of a lithium ion battery with its sensors, harnesses, etc. Thanks!

The dead battery be used? When I read directions for jump starting cars, they never tell you to connect it to the dead battery’s negative terminal but instruct you to connect to engine block. Can the ground be any part of metal on a car?
