I have a 2000 montero sport my car will start while it is on jumpers but when we take the jumpers off it turns off right away,when trying to charge it only hold a charge up to 50 ,I know I need a new battery but could it be my alternator too?

sometimes it start on a dime and other times it wont say nothing but after a few key turns it start.i replaced the starter,alternator and battery all 3 is new.the charging is only charging to 12 volts the tester said bad voltage regulator so i replaced the regulator on the alternator but the same problems [...]

Replaced old battery about a week ago because it was dead and today the car would not start so I jump started the car and as soon as I removed the jumper cables the engine stopped running, could a bad battery prevent the car from running after it has started ?

i know its either the battery or alternator. i jumped the car and it started up. but then i take the jumper cables off and try to start it 10 minutes later and its dead.

i have a dead car battery i want to charge up….the scooter battery is A LOT smaller than the car battery but would it be fine to put jumper cables from the scooter battery to the car battery? and if so how long should i charge it for?
